Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Som Tum’
This food-inspired colorway paying homage to Thai culture and one of the country’s most iconic dishes, papaya salad (ส้มตำ).
The design pulls from traditional Thai craftsmanship, featuring a woven toe box and midfoot panel inspired by hand-woven baskets commonly used throughout Thailand.
Light Natural Beige suede overlays mirror the textured look of handcrafted materials, while orange contrast stitching and thick laces add a punch of heat. Silver accents appear on the padded heel and heel tab, where “Nike” is written in Thai script.
Cultural storytelling continues beneath the tongue. One side depicts rice in a bamboo steamer, while the other shows papaya, herbs, and spices inside a mortar and pestle, referencing the traditional preparation of Som Tum.
Hidden details include a lotus flower graphic on the Zoom Air unit and jasmine rice bag-inspired insoles.
